Description
The Eagle Pro EPC series air/hydraulic pumps feature an efficient pump and a heavy-duty air motor. The EPC-003 is a foot-pedal model with a steel reservoir and 275 cu.in (about 4.5 litres) of usable oil, built to drive single-acting cylinders at up to 10,000psi from a 90 to 145psi workshop air supply.
Air and oil filters minimise the risk of contamination damage, the built-in air exhaust muffler keeps the foot pump quiet in use, and an internal load-limiting valve prevents system damage.
Connections are a 1/4" NPT air inlet and a 3/8" NPT oil outlet. Eagle Pro recommends an air supply of 5 to 10 CFM at 100psi, fitted with an air line filter.

Intended Use

Important
- NEVER work under a load that is held up only by hydraulics: a cylinder lifts, it does not hold. ALWAYS support the raised load mechanically.
- NEVER exceed the rated capacity of the cylinder. Keep the system pressure below the lowest-rated part, and fit a pressure gauge with the same rating as the pump and cylinder.
- NEVER handle pressurised hoses: oil escaping under high pressure can penetrate the skin. Release the pressure before removing or tightening a hose or coupler.
- Before first use, loosen the metal transit knob on the reservoir (anticlockwise). It is tightened to stop oil leaking in transit.
- Use only Eagle Pro or other approved hydraulic oil (never brake fluid, transmission fluid or motor oil), and do not use the pump at 65°C or higher.
